French Onion Soup

Crush the garlic, thinly slice the onions and fry in a saucepan over a medium heat. Stir in the sweetener and fry for another 10 minutes until the onions have caramelized. Add the beef stock and bring to the boil. Then lower the heat, cover the pan and simmer for 15 minutes. Just before serving, season with black pepper and top with a handful of cheese and grill until brown.
